Boater Education Info

West Virginia law states “Anyone born on or after Dec. 31, 1986 must successfully complete a Boating Safety Education Course before operating a motorboat or personal watercraft upon the waters of this state (20-7-12b).”  Additionally, B.A.S.S. requires all competitors that operate or could operate a combustible engine-powered vessel in B.A.S.S. events* submit proof of completion of an approved Boater Safety course.

*Does not apply to BNWV events.
