A maximum of 140 BNWV members (70 Boaters / 70 Non-Boaters) compete @ our Adult State Championship (SC). A breakdown of these slots is as follows:
- Top 15 Boater / 15 Non-Boater Team Trail Series (TTS) teams automatically qualify from our Team Trail Series Final Standings.
- Both members of these Top 15 teams must compete in their respective Regional State Qualifying Tournament (SQT) (if their club sends them) if both wish to attempt to earn 2 Boater slots @ the SC. At the conclusion of their SQT, both members must choose and declare the same route to advance to the SC, either via TTS Top 15 or SQT Final Standings.
- Individual or both Top 15 Team members are permitted to compete in their respective Regional SQT for the following reasons:
- To aid their club in having an equal roster of Boaters / Non-Boaters.
- Their TTS Top 15 partner relinquishes their Top 15 Standing and doesn’t wish to compete @ the SC.
- ALL TTS Top 15 Teams wishing to relinquish their TTS Top 15 slot MUST notify their Regional Delegate ASAP.
- A maximum of 55 Boaters / 55 Non-Boaters (B/NB) qualify according to the Final Standings of their respective Regional State Qualifying Tournament (SQT). These 55 B/NB slots are divided among the Northern, Southeastern & Western Regions according to their percentage of clubs within BNWV that were in good standing by the conclusion of that year’s March General Meeting. Example: 55 B/NB slots numerically divided by the number of BNWV clubs. That amount is then multiplied by the number of a respective Region’s clubs to find each respective Region’s slot amount.
- SQTs are draw tournaments and each club must send an equal number of B/NB up to a maximum of six (6) Boaters and six (6) Non-Boaters.
- All competitors must be a member of and represent a club within the Region of the SQT they’re competing.
- All competitors must weigh-in a legal keeper bass to potentially advance to the SC.
- Members are permitted to compete in one (1) Regional SQT ONLY.
